Emmie Health is a private dietetic clinic in Northwest London and virtually, led by Registered Dietitian Sara Hausmann. Fifteen years of specialist experience, no quick fixes, and never any judgement. In person and online.
“Sara listens, she cares, and my results have been incredible. It really feels like you’re not navigating weight loss alone.” Emmie Health patient, obesity support
These are real people Sara has helped. We keep their names private, but every word and every result is their own. Here is what changed for them.
“For the first time I really feel this is a way of life. I don’t feel I’m depriving myself, so I’m not craving sugar, and my headaches have vastly improved.”
“After following your plan my blood levels are normal and I am no longer pre-diabetic, below the threshold. Thank you for all your advice.”
“Weight loss is a really hard, up and down journey. Sara is there throughout, understanding and practical. I couldn’t have done it without her support.”
Registered DietitianThe whole point is that you stop trying to work it out alone. Here is what working with Emmie Health actually looks like.
A full hour to understand your history, medications, bloods, habits and everything you have already tried.
60 minutesA treatment plan designed case by case, never from a template, connecting your symptoms, bloods, weight and daily life.
Tailored to youRegular reviews and direct access between appointments, so nothing has to wait until the next slot in the diary.
OngoingEvery plan is built around your needs, conditions and circumstances — designed specifically for you, not adapted from someone else’s.
Grounded in fifteen years of specialist clinical experience in obesity and metabolic health.
Focused on long-term metabolic health, not a short-term result you cannot keep. A body that is undernourished will mean long term that the plan isn't sustainable.
With you the whole way. Not just a plan handed over — ongoing support, every step.
Expert dietitian care for your metabolic health, no matter how complex the picture.
You already know what to eat. That was never the missing piece.
You’ve tried the diets, the apps, the calorie counting and you already know more about food than most quick-fix plans account for. Being overweight is a metabolic condition, not a character flaw, and insulin resistance is often what’s actually driving the fatigue, the cravings, and a scale that won’t move. If restriction or bingeing is something you’ve dealt with, we look at what’s happening with food and build from there, communicating with medical professionals as needed. Together we build a plan around your bloods, your medications, and your actual life — one that’s designed to last.
GLP-1 medications can support some patients with their weight loss journey.
Whether you’re deciding if a GLP-1 is right for you or already using one, the nutrition is as fundamental as the medication. Appetite suppression alone doesn’t build the habits that last and side effects like nausea, constipation, or diarrhoea can be managed far more effectively through dietary changes than most people realise. Some patients are keen to wean off the medication — we put a firm plan in place to protect against weight regain.
Getting that result back is unsettling, especially with no clear next step.
I’ve worked with patients who brought their blood glucose back into a normal range with a solid plan in place. None of that happens through a crash diet. It comes from working with your full picture, your medications, your other conditions, and the insulin resistance sitting underneath it all. The goal is a plan built to last years, not weeks.
PMOS touches far more than your ovaries.
You may know this as PCOS. It’s recently been renamed Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome, or PMOS, to reflect what it actually is: a reproductive, hormonal, and metabolic condition affecting around 1 in 8 women worldwide. PMOS affects your periods, fertility, insulin resistance, energy, skin, sleep, and weight. Women with PMOS are also three to six times more likely to experience disordered eating, whatever their weight. Where restriction or bingeing is part of your experience, we look at what’s happening with food and build from there. We focus on the hormones, the bloods and the specific barriers PMOS creates.
By the time I was twenty I weighed 110 kilos, exhausted, caught between bingeing and restricting, feeling like the failure every diet told me I was. I know how it feels to sit in a clinic and brace yourself before you even step on the scales.
What changed things was proper professional help. I was taught how to eat for my body, not for a chart someone else had written, and over three years I lost 40 kilos. Somewhere in that I became fascinated by nutrition, went back to school in the evenings for the sciences I needed, and qualified as a Dietitian. That was fifteen years ago.
It is the reason we never do quick fixes or generic plans at Emmie Health, and the reason I never want a patient to feel embarrassed of their own body in front of me. I teach people to understand what is happening in their bodies, and why restriction so often backfires.
I can’t wait to welcome you to Emmie Health.

No. There are no crash diets, no one-size-fits-all advice, and no assumption that you have simply been overeating or lacking willpower. Every plan is built case by case around your conditions, food preferences and daily life.
Yes. Sara knows what it is like to feel exposed and judged in a healthcare setting, and she has built her whole career around making sure her patients never feel that. You will be taken seriously, symptoms and all, and treated as a person rather than a number on the scales.
Yes. Whether you are considering a GLP-1, currently using one, or need support coming off it, medication is treated as part of a wider clinical and nutritional strategy, never the whole conversation.
